United States

I grew up in Fairport, NY which is a suburb outside Rochester. I was always playing outside, riding my bike, and spending time in the sun. Each year, my family went to a huge family reunion in the Adirondack Mountains for a week of hiking, swimming, and socializing.

This is a big reason why those mountains have become my favorite place in my life. This was the beginning of my exploration. As I grew older, my sister’s volleyball tournaments brought us to many different cities and my family planned different trips.

When I went off to college I proceeded to take on internships and attend conferences. So of course I had even more areas to explore. I have always been grateful to go on trips to new states and cities and I love seeing what they have to offer. I started going on road trips with my boyfriend, Ben, in college and fell in love with the affordability of car camping this way!

Each trip leaves me so much more confident and excited about what I can find in the United States.

I am a huge lover of the outdoors but one of my favorite things to do is walk around the streets in a new town or city and pop into shops, learn the history, and try a local place to eat. Being in nature is amazing, but the heart of a city also offers so much to do that you can’t always get out in a park! The art, architecture, restaurants, cafes, museums, and boutiques are generally around the corner from each other and I love learning what is unique to each city.
